The annual Faire at New Boston is one of the most unique and enchanting events that happens in Springfield - every Labor Day at George Rogers State Park. It's so true to history, its like walking into a painting.

I took photos of the fireworks in West Carrollton this year. I used a regular speed on my camera so they would not look like everyone else's pictures. The committe in West Carrollton in charge of the fireworks loved all of my pictures, so I gave them all of my best pictures (about a dozen). If you would like to see more, please let me know. West Carrollton is a great community with lots of great people. They care!

Did you know there is an UFO at the Air Force Museum? Actually, it's an experimental hovercraft. I wonder where they got the idea for this?

The photo is the Senior Center's lady 8-Ball Pool Players. This is the reason I think Beavercreek is the best place to live because we have the most wonderful and friendliest Senior Center in the world. We shoot pool with the men twice each week and have such a good time. Many of our players never played before but we taught them. We have semi-annual tournaments along with annual fun tournaments with the Beavercreek High School students and also local City politicians etc. Our center has so many things available for us who are in the prime of our lives. P.S. Also have a photo of the men also.

Title: "Hometown Bambi"-----You can imagine my surprise when my dog and I noticed this adorable fawn snuggled in my back yard behind a tree stump early one Saturday morning! I had gotten concerned when I noticed it darting across the yard later that afternoon during frightening claps of thunder ~ no mother in sight. Thankfully, my fears were put to rest when, the following morning, doe and fawn gazed at me from the brush along the side yard. My neighborhood, on the outskirts of Huber Heights, has a woodsy feeling with it's numerous large trees ~ this is just the icing on the cake and wonderful surprises like this make me feel my home behind Thomas Cloud Park is a great place to live!

One of the places we enjoy spending family time in is Cox Arboretum. No matter the season, no matter the weather, there is always beauty and peace to be found there. The Dayton Metro Parks system is just one of the many reasons we love it here. As a retired military family, we have lived all over the US but chose to return to our hometown, to our roots, to OUR Miami Valley.

Title: Little Miami Scenic Trail---- Once the rail service that used to pass through the Village of Yellow Springs became of no use, it was turned into this bike path. This 80-mile bike path is one of the many recreational activities that Yellow Springs offers. Support from the community helped in the creation of the path, as making Yellow Springs better in any way possible is of uptmost importance to every resident. Thats why I love my community and this photo for representing it's euphoric atomosphere.
